First State Bank in Webster City, Iowa remains the only locally owned and operated financial institution in the community. In March 2012, First State Bank opened a newly constructed 3,200-square-foot branch in Clarion, Iowa, designed to provide convenient, full-service banking to the community.

In 2001, First State Bank expanded its services by opening a branch office in Eagle Grove, Iowa, initially operating from a mobile banking unit. In December 2002, the permanent Eagle Grove branch opened at 323 S Commercial Avenue, Eagle Grove, IA.

In May 2007, First State Bank expanded its community banking presence by opening a branch office in Fort Dodge, Iowa, initially operating from existing office space. In August 2009, a brand-new full-service banking facility was built at 3031 5th Ave S., Fort Dodge, IA, shared with Town & Country Insurance Agency.

On June 4, 2012, First State Bank expanded its footprint by opening its 6th branch location in Humboldt, Iowa.
