Brett Family Singers Branson Comes to the Amanas! July 16, 2013

We have enjoyed such a great time in the past when we attended these shows at the Old Creamery Theater – top notch talent straight from Branson.  And of course, part of the allure of the Amanas is the great family-style food we so enjoy!  This time we’ll be dining at the Ronneburg Restaurant with 2 meats, Amana farm bread/butter, cole slaw, cottage cheese, skillet potatoes, gravy, hot veggie, sauerkraut, beverage and homemade PIE.  And don’t forget to stop by their wonderful boutique!  There’ll be some free time to explore Amana too.

Fall Foliage Music Cruise  Tues Oct 22 – Wed Oct 23, 2013

You’ll want to put a “save-the-date” for this Mississippi River trip that sells out each year. The next morning we’ll board the celebration Belle to explore a new section of the River…from  Moline to Muscatine with locks and dams to traverse. On board we’ll enjoy stickyrolls, a full hot buffet lunch and entertainment. The first morning we’ll journey to Le Claire, Iowa, home of the History Channel American Pickers (Michael and Frank go all over the US on the hunt for antique treasures.) This quaint river town has recreated itself into a unique, lively cluster of shops and restaurants. Dan Kaercher, retired editor-in-chief of Midwest Living, included a segment of Le Claire in his Best of the Midwest series on PBS. We’ll lunch at Sneaky Pete’s in Le Claire and have the rest of the afternoon to explore this special town.  After check-in at our Bettendorf hotel, the Isle of Capri, we’ll have supper at a local restaurant.  After a hot buffet breakfast, we’ll board the Celebration Belle for sticky rolls and coffee followed by a full hot lunch buffet.  We’ll have musical entertainment as we float by the fall scenery – you may want to kick up your heels and dance a little before we head for home!

Included:  transportation, breakfast, 2 lunches, dinner, boat trip and driver’s tip.

Deadline to make payment or to cancel with full refund:  September 20, 2013
