Taylor Knuth joins the First State Bank staff in Webster City in the accounting services department as an operations specialist. Taylor is new to the community. She is a Johnston High School graduate with a degree in Accounting from Iowa State University. Prior to joining the First State Bank staff Taylor worked as a Tax Associate at McGladrey, LLP. Taylor’s parents Jim and Dawn Knuth reside in Johnston, IA. She has 2 sisters Tory and Taryn and a brother Jay. In her spare time Taylor enjoys playing volleyball, running, spending time at Clear Lake and cheering on the Cyclones! Welcome Taylor to our team!
Anderson_Aly_09-2 Alyssa Anderson joins the First State Bank staff in Eagle Grove as a Teller/Personal Banker. Alyssa is a 2010 graduate of Eagle Grove High School in Eagle Grove, IA. She attended La James International College and is certified in Massage Therapy. Alyssa is currently attending Iowa Central Community College for an AA degree. Alyssa resides in Eagle Grove, IA where she also has a Massage Therapy business. In her Spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. We are pleased to welcome Alyssa to our team!
Zoami Calles Sosa joins the First State Bank staff in Webster City in the IT Department as PC Tech Support.  She graduated from East Sac County High School and attended Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with a minor in Art.  Prior to her employment at First State Bank Zoami was the CFO of Tello Enterprises, LLC in Hampton, IA and is the owner of a small graphic design business and a vegetable farm in Sac County.  Zoami currently resides in Hampton, IA and is a member of the Market Analysis Team for the Greater Franklin Chamber of Commerce.  In her spare time Zoami enjoys photography, art and reading.  She also likes to travel and enjoys fitness.  We are pleased to welcome Zoami to our team!

 

Tree planting pic2 First State Bank/Town & Country Insurance Employees Help Plant Trees
In celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day, employees from First State Bank and Town & Country Insurance helped plant trees this past Friday afternoon (April 25, 2014).  Pictured are from left to right:  Kim Peck, Carrie Olson, Angie Youngdale, Brian McLoughlin, and Troy Thilges.  The trees are part of an annual reforestation project along the Boone River that is also part of the Des Moines Area River Greenbelt.  In addition to the volunteers, this project is supported by the City of Webster City Recreation and Public Grounds Department, Trees Forever, and Black Hills Energy.

 

Hero Donation photo First State Bank and Town & Country Insurance presented the Enhance Hamilton County Foundation Hero Fund with a donation of $5,000 to assist in the effort to bring the Webster Theatre back to our community.  In addition to the $5,000 donation the employees of both First State Bank and Town & Country Insurance made personal donations totaling $600, enough to purchase 2 aluminum tickets on seats at the theatre.  The Bank, Agency and our  staff take pride in our community and our very passionate about supporting efforts to enhance the community.
