First State Bank and Town & Country Insurance presented the Enhance Hamilton County Foundation Hero Fund with a donation of $5,000 to assist in the effort to bring the Webster Theatre back to our community.  In addition to the $5,000 donation the employees of both First State Bank and Town & Country Insurance made personal donations totaling $600, enough to purchase 2 aluminum tickets on seats at the theatre.  The Bank, Agency and our  staff take pride in our community and our very passionate about supporting efforts to enhance the community.

Meet Terry Dooley

Terry joins the First State Bank staff in Fort Dodge as a Credit Analyst.  Terry graduated St. Edmond High School and went on to attend Buena Vista University where she received a BA in business management. Terry resides in Fort Dodge with her husband Timm and has been a resident in Fort Dodge her entire life.  She has 2 sons; Jason (Darci) with whom she has a grandson Drake and they reside in the Des Moines area and Mitch who lives in Topeka, KS. Terry has over 30 years in the banking business, previously employed at Great Western Bank and First Federal Savings Bank.  Terry Volunteers her time with Hospice and in her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends playing games & cards.  She also enjoys spending time at their lake home and other outdoor activities such as golf, biking boating and swimming.  Welcome Terry to our staff!

On July 29th, 2013 First State Bank officially opened its Humboldt location.  The brand new building offers a full service bank, including two drive through lanes and an ATM outside.  This location is conveniently located at 605 13th St. North, Humboldt, IA 50548.

 

 
Judy Fredin  Meet Judy Fredin Judy recently joined First State Bank in the Humboldt bank office as a teller.  A graduate of Twin River Valley of Bode, IA, she brings 9 years of previous banking experience to her job.  Judy and her husband Ryan and son Tanner (11), daughter Haylee (9), and son Caden (4) live in Humboldt.  Judy spends her free time attending her children’s sporting events and spending time with family and friends.  Stop by the new office at 605 13th Street North and say hello. 
 
Meet Laurie Nielsen First State Bank welcomes their newest Teller, Laurie Nielsen, to the Humboldt office. A graduate of Centerville, IA, High School, Laurie has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science from University of Northern Iowa and is a Certified Chiropractic Assistant from Logan College of Chiropractic, Chesterfield, MO. She brings three years of previous banking experience as a teller. She and husband, Mitch, and daughter, Avery, live in rural Bradgate. Laurie enjoys cooking, spending time with family and friends, fishing, camping, and other outdoor activities. Stop by and introduce yourself to Laurie.
First State Bank Welcomes Sherri O’Brien  Dave Taylor, President and CEO of First State Bank, Webster City, recently announced the appointment of Sherri O’Brien to the position of Agriculture and Commercial Lender.  She joins Craig Nelsen, Tiffany Lowe, and Jodi Reed in the Clarion office. Sherri has 20 years of banking experience in Clarion and Wright County. Sherri has lived in Clarion with husband Pat for 23 years.  They have a son Ian and daughter Molli.  Sherri  has been involved in many community activities including Clarion Rotary Club, Wright County Economic Development committees, Clarion Chamber & Development Board, Eagle Grove Development Board, Clarion Church of Christ, PEO and TTT.   Sherri enjoys golf, flower gardening, reading, spending time with her family, reading and spending time outdoors.
